Background: Cardiometabolic diseases (Heart attack, stroke, diabetes mellitus) are the main problems responsible for increased morbidity and mortality in Romania and Hungary cross-border geographical area. The prevalence of obesity is high in this geographic area, confirmed by the EuroAspire III survey.
- Strengthening cooperation between healthcare and physical education specialists in the border area in order to prevent the onset of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases;
- Evaluate the prevalence of overweight and cardiometabolic risk factors in students from both University Centers
- Increase life quality of students by lifestyle coaching programmes
- Facilitate joint development of Timisoara-Szeged cross-border cooperation and strengthening social and economic cohesion
